A Sustainable Future Requires Action Today

At Cotswold Quadding, our adventures are designed to leave lasting memories — not lasting marks.  Every trek includes an element of environmental awareness — helping guests understand how the Cotswolds’ unique habitats thrive when respected and protected.

Our goal is to show that adventure and conservation can go hand in hand.

SUSTAINABILITY MATTERS

PURPOSE IN EVERY PATH

Luxury, for us, lies in authenticity — in the ability to experience nature quietly, responsibly, and with respect.

Each Cotswold Quadding journey is designed to connect guests with the natural world, reminding us that sustainability is not a statement, but a way of travelling.

RESPECT THE LAND

We are custodians, not just visitors. Every trek is mapped with sensitivity to the terrain, ensuring our presence enhances, rather than harms, the landscape.

  • Adaptive Routing: Our treks are adjusted seasonally to prevent soil compaction, erosion, and disturbance to vegetation. Routes are rotated to allow natural recovery and to preserve the integrity of the ground.

  • Silent, Emission-Free Exploring: Our state-of-the-art electric quads allow guests to experience the countryside without noise or exhaust emissions — maintaining the peace of the land and protecting the purity of the air.

  • Weather-Led Decision Making: In adverse conditions, routes are amended or temporarily paused to protect the land from unnecessary impact.

PROTECT THE WILDLIFE

We're never alone when we go out trekking, we share the landscape with an abundance of wildlife — from deer grazing at dawn to nesting skylarks. We're entering their world, that's why we have the upmost respect.

  • Seasonal Awareness: We always look to map nesting and breeding areas and avoid these zones entirely during sensitive times of year.

  • Wildlife Watchpoints: Our instructors look to identify and respect local species — from deer and hares to ground-nesting birds and pollinators.

  • No-Noise Nature: Electric power allows guests to experience wildlife up close without startling them — a rare and peaceful perspective on the Cotswolds’ biodiversity.

SUPPORTING BIODIVERSITY

We work hand in hand with biodiversity teams and conservation partners to promote a thriving natural ecosystem.

  • Habitat Preservation: Our operations support ongoing projects in hedgerow management, native tree planting, and wildflower regeneration.

  • Leave No Trace: Every trek adheres to a zero-waste principle — ensuring no litter, no runoff, and no damage to natural habitats.

  • Sustainable Partnerships: We proudly align with local environmental initiatives that advance long-term land stewardship across the Cotswolds.
